  Thank you so much for reading Shadow Shifter. I originally wrote this story as a novella in a multi-author boxed set which has now been un-published, so I decided to re-publish my previous works in boxed sets into their own series, Hearts on Fire. All the stories in Hearts on Fire are stand alones and can be read in any particular order, and while I have no immediate plans for Kristina and Ben, never say never!

  I wish I could tell you I have this wonderful inspirational story that prompted Shadow Shifter, but alas, I don’t. I simply sat at the computer and started writing and this is what came out! I’m what you call a panster, which means I write by the seat of my pants – I don’t spend a whole lot of time plotting/planning my stories, and to be totally honest, I love it this way. Kristina and Ben told their story and most of the time I had no idea what was going to happen next. Except for the ending, I always knew who the killer was .
